                            Scleroderma

Scleroderma is considered an autoimmune rheumatic disease, refers to a range of disorders in which the skin and connective tissues tighten and harden and a connective tissue disorder. It is a long-term, progressive disease. Scleroderma is not contagious, infectious, cancerous or malignant. Reason behind this diseases is our immune system, which causes the body to make too much of the protein collagen, in which the skin gets thick and tight, and scars can form on lungs and kidneys. The blood vessels became thicken and not work the way they should. This leads to tissue damage and high blood pressure.
Types of Scleroderma
1. Localised scleroderma (affects the skin)
2. Systemic sclerosis – (affect blood circulation and internal organs as well as the skin)
v  Localised sclerodermas are of 2 types.
·         Morphea: Symptoms include oval-shaped patches on the skin, the shapes have a                     purple border, and they are white in the middle.
·         Linear scleroderma: This kind causes streaks of hardened skin to form on the arms, legs, or face. It can affect bones and muscles.
v  Systemic sclerosis are of 2 types
·         Limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis: It affects the skin of the face, hands, and feet, and lower arms and legs. It can also damage the lungs, intestines, or oesophagus. is the least severe type of systemic scleroderma
·         Diffuse scleroderma: This involves skin thickening which affects the area from the hands to above the wrists. It also affects internal organs, like the heart, lungs, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract.
Currently, there is no cure for scleroderma, but there are many treatments available to help particular symptoms, also no medication can stop the overproduction of collagen. For instance, heartburn can be controlled by medications called proton pump inhibitors PPIs) or medicine to improve the motion of the bowel. Some treatments are directed at decreasing the activity of the immune system.
Common treatments include:
·         Medication to improve circulation
·         Medicines that reduce the activity of the immune system

·         Steroid medication to reduce muscle problems

    Unfortunately there are a lot of AIDS/Herpes denials on Herbal cures still out there. I did research on them after I was tested HIV/Herpes positive I was so worried am I going to die soon.     Most prostate cancers are adenocarcinomas, cancers that arise in glandular cells of the prostate’s epithelial tissue.
